After opening an Etsy shop a few years ago I have finally got around to putting some stock in it! Yay! Please take a look at my shop! It's looking a bit sparse at the moment but it's a work in progress. Expect more things to appear as I get the hang of this 'business' thing...

I'm temporarily putting aside colour to explore black and white illustration. I'd forgotten how relaxing it is to create a whole artwork in just a pencil. I thought I would ease myself in with a botanical drawing - these are my graduation flowers from my parents (as of Friday last week I am officially a graduate!) More monochrome to come!

A few things from my sketchbook. I've been taking a lot of walks around the nearby nature reserve because I'm fascinated with all the ducklings, chicks and cygnets! They've been the inspiration for some decorative images I'm working on now.
And in other news, after the New Designers exhibition in London last month, I was very pleased to be included in a review in Amelia's Magazine for best graduate illustrators!

Everything has been a bit chaotic lately with preparation for deadlines and exhibitions. However, I finally have the time to start working on some new things so watch this space! But for now I shall leave you with some chickens I did a while ago.
And a card I made for a friend...

This was a bit of a sidetrack from the projects I'm doing for my course. I wanted to paint something without having to develop lots of ideas and prep work for it first. I think it turned out fairly well, so I might find a way to slip it into my work after all.

After a bit of a hiatus I'm finally going to get back into the swing of blogging! Starting off with this, my piece for this year's Falmouth Book of Illustrated Quotes and Sayings. I chose to illustrate a quote from The Great Gatsby.
In his blue gardens men and girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars. - F. Scott Fitzgerald
